The roots of TLS Tutorials trace back to the passion of our founder, Mrs. Esther. Inspired by her grandfather, a school principal who encouraged her to “impact the lives of children,” she began her journey as a passionate home tutor. In those early days, she relied on her resourcefulness and a deep understanding of the syllabus to help her students succeed, one child at a time.
Through years of teaching, Mrs. Esther saw a recurring gap in the education landscape. Many bright students struggled because standardised, one-size-fits-all teaching methods didn’t address their unique learning styles. She envisioned a new kind of learning space—one that was student-centric, not subject-centric, where teaching would be adapted to fit the individual child and build true understanding.
This vision became a reality in 2012 when TLS Tutorials was formally established at our centre on Winstedt Road. While our methods and resources have since evolved, our founding mission remains unchanged: to create a safe, supportive space where we can truly impact lives, build confidence, and guide the leaders of tomorrow.
